Engineering Skills Training Centre
The Engineering Skills Training Centre (ESTC) was established in 1984 and is situated in Randfontein. ESTC provides Valterra Platinum and external clients with proficient engineering personnel through provision of cutting-edge training solutions so that they can achieve their strategic objectives. We always strive to positively contribute towards safety, economic growth and wealth creation.
The centre provides engineering skills training for stope servicemen, learnerships and apprenticeships as well as skills programmes, short courses, foremen development, planned maintenance and various specialised short courses. ESTC's commitment to safety and quality training is demonstrated by its continentally accepted accreditations.
Accreditation and Certification
- Accredited with the Quality Council for Trades and Occupation (QCTO) as Skills Development Provider (SDP) and Trade Test Centre (TTC)
- Accredited training provider by the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA)
- Programme approval with Manufacturing Engineering Sector Training Authority (MerSETA)
- ISO 9001:2015 certified
- Occupational Health and Safety Certification
- Registered with Department of Higher Education (DHET)
- Institute of Sectoral or Occupational Excellence (ISOE)
